احساس کمتری
Inferiority complex, a feeling of being less worthy, capable, or important than others, often accompanied by insecurity, self-doubt, and a tendency to overcompensate. The phrase is composed of احساس (ehsas), meaning feeling or sensation, and کمی (kami) or کمتری (kamtari), meaning deficiency, inferiority, or lessness. Together, they describe the psychological state of believing oneself to be inferior to others, whether in terms of ability, status, appearance, or worth. In Urdu, Ehsas-e-Kamtari is a term used in psychology, in self-help literature, in everyday conversation about insecurity, and in social commentary about the effects of discrimination, poverty, and social hierarchy. The word carries the weight of the pain of feeling less than, the struggle for self-worth, the damage caused by comparisons and judgments. It is the opposite of self-confidence, of healthy self-esteem, of the sense of equality with others.
