روٹیاں
Flatbreads; the plural of روٹی (roti), referring to the round, unleavened breads that are a fundamental and ubiquitous staple food across the Indian subcontinent. Made primarily from whole wheat flour (آٹا), water, and sometimes salt, they are cooked on a flat griddle (توّا or تندور). "روٹیاں" signifies nourishment, daily sustenance, domestic labor, and cultural continuity—they are the essential carbohydrate base of virtually every meal for millions.
