غیر متناسب
Disproportionate; out of proportion; not in proper or harmonious relation to something else; having a ratio that is not equal or appropriate; uneven; asymmetrical; mismatched; incommensurate. غیر (ghair) is an Urdu prefix meaning non, un, not, or other than, derived from the Arabic root غ ي ر (gh y r), meaning to change, to be different. متناسب (mutanasib) is an adjective meaning proportionate, proportional, harmonious, or commensurate, derived from the Arabic root ن س ب (n s b), meaning to relate, to connect, to attribute. Together, غیر متناسب means not proportionate or lacking proper proportion. This term is used in mathematics (disproportionate ratios, unequal fractions), in art and design (asymmetrical compositions), in architecture (out of scale elements), in economics (disproportionate distribution of wealth), in sociology (disproportionate representation), in health (disproportionate body parts, disproportionate growth), and in everyday language (a punishment disproportionate to the crime). The polarity is generally negative, as disproportion often indicates imbalance, unfairness, or lack of harmony. However, in art, asymmetry can be aesthetically pleasing, so the polarity can be neutral or positive in that context. The opposite concepts are "متناسب" (mutanasib, proportionate), "متوازن" (mutawazin, balanced), "ہم آہنگ" (ham aahang, harmonious). The phrase is grammatically used as an adjective, agreeing with the noun it modifies in gender and number.
