سیم زدہ دیوار
Literally, a "saltpetre-infested wall" or a "wall ruined by efflorescence." This evocative phrase describes a wall that is visibly decaying due to the rising and crystallizing of salts, primarily calcium nitrate and potassium nitrate (saltpetre), from within its bricks and mortar. The salts are drawn to the surface by capillary action of groundwater, leaving behind disfiguring, powdery white or greyish deposits. Figuratively, however, "سیم زدہ دیوار" has become a powerful and melancholic metaphor for foundational decay, moral corruption, forgotten glory, and the inevitable ruin of all that is built by man. It symbolizes something that is crumbling from within, losing its structural integrity and aesthetic dignity, standing as a hollow, stained shell of its former self.
