Detestable, abominable, repugnant, odious; that which is strongly disliked, disapproved of, or considered offensive, either from a religious, moral, aesthetic, or personal standpoint. In Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh), it specifically denotes an action that is religiously discouraged but not strictly forbidden (Haram), carrying a strong divine disapproval that makes it worthy of avoidance by pious Muslims.
